Ari Banias is the author of A Symmetry, which won the 2022 Publishing Triangle Award for Trans & Gender Variant Literature, and Anybody, both from W. W. Norton. His work has been supported by various residencies and fellowships including MacDowell, the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, and Headlands Center for the Arts. Poems have appeared in Poem-a-Day, Triple Canopy, The Nation, Georgia Review, The New Republic, Hyperallergic, The Yale Review, and elsewhere. He is the current Poet Laureate of the City of Northampton. Ari also has a jewelry practice as Sense Dept. and works primarily in silver.
